Most of the dolls I saw are of mature women – think MILF – and all of them are based on real porn stars. It was almost surreal – like, am I really seeing this? I thought it was fascinating.

After all, the novelty could wear off – and then what? You’d be left with something that doesn’t have the ability to reciprocate your affections.
At the same time, these sex dolls could provide an outlet to those who may be lonely, depressed, or vibrators have social difficulties. It’s an interesting thought: should we embrace the potential arousing benefits of these dolls, or reject them out of fear of blurring the line between reality and fantasy?
Finally, there’s the issue of ethics. Is it ethical to create dolls that look like real people? On the one hand, these dolls could provide an avenue for exploration and education that may break down taboos of traditional sex education. On the other hand, some argue that it creates a dangerous objectification of women, and that the line between fantasy and reality is blurred too much.
