I was recently looking at some old episodes of the show Family Guy and stumbled across an episode dedicated to Meg’s Sex Doll. I was so surprised at the boldness of the episode that I thought I would talk about it with my friends.
I had heard of this particular thing called a ‘sex doll’ before, but never knew what to make of it. But watching the episode made me realize what it was. In the episode, Peter decides to get Meg a sex doll for her birthday as a joke – because everyone, including Meg, knows that she’s not very popular with the opposite sex.
At first I was a bit taken aback – how could anyone gift such a thing to their family member? But the more I watched, the more I realized how the family handled the situation was really quite mature. Meg was initially thrilled and embarrassed, but she eventually accepted it – and even thanked Peter, which was a really nice moment.
And it’s not just Meg who sees the funny side of things. Quagmire and Cleveland try to persuade Peter to get them sex dolls too, and their antics were hilarious to watch. They even threw a ‘doll party’, taking their sex dolls out for a night on the town. It was so absurd yet funny.
Though it still looks a bit strange to me to have a sex doll in the house, I appreciate that the episode handled the idea with a lot more grace than I had imagined. It showed that no matter how crazy an idea is, having a little bit of perspective and Penis Rings kindness can make all the difference.
That’s not to say that there weren’t some moments of awkwardness – there were definitely a few! But I can now see how the episode had a lot of heart to it and that the idea of Meg’s Sex Doll was actually quite touching.
I guess it just goes to show that sometimes you have to try something out for yourself before judging it too harshly. And after watching the episode, dildos I have to say that I’m a lot more open-minded than I was before – perhaps it’s time for me to give sex dolls a chance too!
