Oh, my god you guys, I just read about this new Harry Styles sex doll. Can you even believe it? It’s beyond wild! It seems like people are makings everything with the likeness of celebrities these days. I’m sure there are Royalties and Politicians out there that have life-like dolls as well. Scary stuff.

Another thing to consider is the legal implications. Can a doll represent a real person? Should people be allowed to create dolls in the likeness of public figures? Laws can be unclear in this area, as even if the agreed upon terms are followed, the likeness of a real person may still be used.
On the other hand, what’s wrong with creating a likeness of someone in a product you can own? As long as the quarterback under copyright law are followed, it’s alright. There’s definitely an interesting conversation surrounding Harry Styles sex doll, to say the least.
And then there’s the question of appropriateness. Is it okay for a doll to be crafted in the likeness of an artist whose fanbase consists mainly of kids and teenagers? Maybe the doll should look like an adult- and if so, should we have a consent form that must be signed before the sale?
